DC Comics – All-new and/or updated sprites for the following:
– John Stewart: standing pose only seen in videos before but improved and now in multiple outfits, plus all new ring raise pose
– Hal Jordan: Showcase #22 cover
– Katma Tui: standing sprite and an all-new ring raise sprite
– Guy Gardner: updated head for taunt sprite
– GLC: Kyle Rayner and C’hp added
– Sinestro: new version of his hover sprite in his Emerald Dawn Green Lantern uniform
– Star Sapphire: all-new Green Lantern #41 cover sprite, DCAU and Rebirth costumes for the earlier hover pose
– DC Comics villains: Black Hand and Goldface: all-new sprites
Those sprites were also added to the main GFX Generator, where you can make screenshots like the one at the top of this post. And now, here’s the 2026 Green Lantern Sprite Showcase video!
As always, I had more plans than time (Stel, Salakk, Evil Star, Manhunters), but the Corp, their friends, and their enemies will return in future updates!
The 21st day of September? I did. Anyway, I felt the need to give an update about what’s up. Long story short, I had some dental surgery last week and I’ll have more next week. Due to some of the medicine I’m taking, I still feel a bit out of it, but still got a decent amount of work done. So I’m not sure exactly how much I’ll have ready next week, but if I can’t finish the Showcase before the end of the month, I’ll probably have a small update with some of the less-surprising new sprites and then save the others for when the video hits.
I’ve got almost 2 minutes of the video locked, with a few parts and renders not added yet, so keep your fingers crossed. I just finished another scratch-made sprite that replaces a really old edit.

BTW: that sprite of John in the Bruce Timm Justice League lineup pose will finally make its way to the site. Guess I’ll have to give him something else I only have in videos and be a jerk about it. Either way, see you next week!
I’m sorry for forgetting to post this last week, but the ScrollBoss YouTube channel hit a milestone recently: 1,000 subscribers! For a channel that goes so long between videos, it feels really good. I posted a Thank You video last Friday that shows some clips for things I’m working on right now.
None of these things have an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) yet, unless mentioned:
– Nutroll: will be back for this year’s Illvember. You’ll find out what he’s been up to and more Illmosis characters will get sprites here and there.
– Media Center: Had to do a lot of work to set up more monitors compared to the 1989 version, this will get more use in the near future.
– 80’s arcade: There will be an updated version of this background including the new suspiciously familiar carpet pattern (shoutout to all the programs out there) and redone Space Invaders cabinet. No ETA for this yet.
– Golden Axe: progress is a bit farther out, but that Tyris Flare sprite in the Mega Drive cover art shot is one of the new and/or updated sprites you’ll get when that hits here.
– Green Lantern: That Sprite Showcase is at maybe 30-40% assembled in Vegas right now, including shots, sprites, animations, and another background not shown yet. Pushing for late September, but it may be early October. Expect that new Green Lantern Corps. Custom sprite sub-gallery from the last update to get bigger.
– 3D Toy Aisles: Even though I showed you the Jada Toys Street Fighter and Mega Man section, I still have some surprises finished, and you’ll see a lot more in December.
Also: added the Muscle Busting site to the links section, a site you’ll want to check out if you like Kinnikuman (or M.U.S.C.L.E.), the Super Mario Bros. Super-Show, or pro-wrestling. If you like all three, you’ll REALLY want to check it out! They were linking to me already, so you know they’re nice.
Gotta get back to work on the Green Lantern Showcase, but I’ll have a small update later this September!
