Spider-Man has a new movie in theaters right now, and two of his deadliest enemies are getting new pixel art here!

Marvel Comics: An all-new Green Goblin sprite (replacing my 2020 sprite) and Scorpion debuts with one new pose in 4 designs (60’s, classic with and without tail stinger, and 90s). Don’t be surprised if I make some additional changes to Green Goblin, especially with the palette. More Spider-Man villains will find their way here in the near future, that part of the gallery is far too neglected.

Mini-logos – Marvel: Green Goblin (90’s) and Scorpion (altered Amazing Spider-Man #145 cover) added. I also repixeled Cable’s 90’s solo logo, giving it better contrast and making it 120% wider like CPS2 screens.

The custom sprites and mini-logos were also added to the main image generator, which I used to make the screenshot at the top of this post.

Arcade Quartermaster just updated with some new shrines: Knuckle Joe (early side-scrolling beat ’em up) and Thunderblade!

This 26th anniversary update may be low key compared to last year’s big 25th anniversary celebration, but today’s newness brings new sprites of one whole sci-fi game trio, completes another sci-fi team, brings in a classic comic book villain who recently became a final boss, and gives a vehicle to another final boss!

Custom Sprites:
Alien Storm (new): long overdue idle stance sprites of Karla, Gordon, and Scooter. I also sprited Karla’s select screen pose.
Donkey Kong (new separate): completely redrawn Donkey Kong Junior
Flicky (new): Flicky
Kid Icarus: Palutena
Mega Man: Dr. Wily in the Wily UFO 2 (open and closed)
Quartet (new separate): Joe and Lee (finally)
Marvel Comics: Annihilus (classic comic)

Mini-logos:
Capcom: Andore (SF6 cutscene)
Nintendo: Kid Icarus
Sega: Flicky
Marvel: Annihilus

Game Index: MARVEL Cosmic Invasion

Toyboss: Took a new TMNT villain group pic, adding the VHS box ‘toon Foot Soldier.

New custom sprites and mini-logos added to the GFX Generators.

This will probably be the last time I do an anniversary update like this, so next year’s will be different. PROBABLY, it depends on how certain things I’m working on turn out between now and then. The main thing is to not just have another “bigger update than usual.” The main thing is to still do something special for all the people who still come through to check out this old website.

Here’s a couple of teasers from recent sprite linework scans and all I’ll say is that’s both of them are super-villains.

Thank you for visiting the site and I hope you come back for more pixels and fun when you get the chance!

The Kickstarter campaign for the Pizza Kidd beat ’em up ends Sunday, July 12th at 11:59PM. It’s almost at the finish line, and still needs backers to make the campaign successful. Check out this new video made for the home stretch:

I was honored to be one of the many pixel artists to make some official promo pixel art for the game and here’s my pixel art of standout character Black Roze:

You can see more on the Pizza Kidd accounts on Twitter (I’m not calling it X, c’mon now) and Bluesky. Please help spread the word and consider pledging to get more pixel-based brawling out on the streets!
