I’m working on a tutorial, and possibly a video, about the small logos in Capcom’s Marvel games, including their first Marvel game, the Punisher. I starting calling them minilogos or mini-logos in my image generator so that variable wouldn’t conflict with any bigger logos I added to the generators later.
In Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom, none of them are wider than 64 pixels or taller than 26 pixels (and only Shuma-Gorath’s logo is that tall). Even in MvC where they have trademark symbols under the logo, the logo part itself is limited to 26 pixels. Morrigan and Zangief’s hit both that 64 pixel width and 26 pixel height.
I had to figure all this out back when I made my PHP script screenshot maker on this site and I use the same size limits when I convert logos to look like they were in these games (and that gallery can be found here). Hopefully this helps if you want to make your own. Did this make sense to anyone reading? Are there any specific things you’d want to hear about mini-logo pixel work?
