From the king at the beginning of the game, after you've entered your initials How good that you have come, (initials here)! I have been waiting for a brave man to arrive! This you must know. Once upon a time, the kingdom of Deezar, was a peaceful country. But then the evil Baarogue who abducted Princess Sarasa, my only daughter, and destroyed the peace. I have faith you will rescue my daughter, the princess. Now go, (initials here)! The copyright date on the title screen says 1989, as does the Japanese game flyer, but some sites say that the game was released in 1990. The United States flyer also says 1990, so I'm listing the USA date as 1990 here.
