This update stars one horror movie classic from the 70s and one from the 80s, but this update has a little something for almost everyone!

– Horror: Regan from the Exorcist, Acid Dracula (WNUF Halloween Special)
– Masters of the Universe: Shadow Weaver (She-Ra)
– Night Slashers: updated Hong Hua with redrawn head.
– ScrollBoss characters: Vonetta (a.k.a. Vernacula) gets a new pose
GFX Generators: all new custom sprites and mini-logos have been added to the generators, where you can make your own graphics like the one at the top of this post!

Celebrating 10 years of fear with the tenth annual DangerTerrorHorrorThon!
Custom Sprites:
– Castlevania: Kid Dracula, Dragon Cannon/Bone Pillar (Castlevania 1 style) and bat (ANIMATED .GIF!)
– Splatterhouse: idle and blade idle for Rick with the TubroGrafx-16 mask.
– Night Slashers: new Mummy boss sprite and redone Christopher sprite
Mini-logos: Kid Dracula added to Konami gallery, Killer Klowns from Outer Space added to movies.
GFX Generators: the Marvel vs. Capcom 1 ending screen option now has a horror movie theater lobby background, something that’s only been in the site’s videos for a few years. The secretly-added Cosplay Ladies Nurse sprite(called that until I can come up with a better name) was updated and has more color options. Weirdly, there seems to be a bug where the extra color options don’t take effect sometimes, so I’ll have to try and figure out how to fix that. edit: error fixed
The DangerTerrorHorrorThon returns tomorrow night with more horror, including an often-requested survival horror enemy and a return of the clowns in the woods!
I’ve started working on sprites for this year’s HorrorThon, but I’ll be adding things here and there before it starts, mostly to image generators, every once in a while until this year’s HorrorThon starts. I won’t be posting about this on social media, so this is a like an extra thing for those of you who regularly visit the site without me hollering about it on Twitter, Bluesky, IG, etc.
October 11, 2024:
GFX Generators:
– fight-size generator – Marvel vs Capcom ending: new backgrounds include Castlevania Level 5 and final boss fight remakes and a horror-themed theater lobby (seen in videos, never in the generators until now).
– Last year I silently added an unfinished Nurse sprite to the “ScrollBoss – cosplay ladies” character. That sprite just got a lot of fixes, details (a secondary uniform color) and more color separations, including the secondary uniform color and shoes. The original and longer skirt versions are still tests until I’m sure everything works, then I’ll add a few more variations.

After that video I don’t think I’ll be spoiling anything by adding the Killer Klowns from Outer Space mini-logo to the mini-logo gallery and the KKfOS character slot in the image generator which only has a sprite of Shorty.
