{"id":3599,"date":"2025-05-22T13:55:05","date_gmt":"2025-05-22T17:55:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scrollboss.illmosis.net\/blog\/?p=3599"},"modified":"2025-05-25T16:55:22","modified_gmt":"2025-05-25T20:55:22","slug":"pac-man-45th-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scrollboss.illmosis.net\/blog\/?p=3599","title":{"rendered":"Pac-Man 45th Anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This site may not ever exist if the original Pac-Man game didn&#8217;t get me even more hooked on video games, so I couldn&#8217;t let the 45th Anniversary pass without an update!<\/p>\n<p><center><IMG SRC=\"promo\/gfxgen_2025-05-22_384x224pacman45thanniversary.png\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Custom Sprites:<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"customsprites.php?g=pacman\">Pac-Man<\/a>: Puck-Man, <del datetime=\"2025-05-25T20:50:02+00:00\">Ruby-Spears<\/del> Hanna-Barbera Pac-Man, Sour Puss, and an updated version of Pinky with the face (including eye-lashes) from the early Namco artwork.<\/p>\n<p>All new sprites were added to the main <a href=\"gfxgen_fightsize.php\">GFX Generator<\/a> (Sour Puss is in the Pac-Family character slot) where I made the pic at the top of the page.<\/p>\n<p>And here&#8217;s a new Pac-Man video to celebrate the day! It&#8217;s similar to the short Pac-Man video I posted in 2021, but nearly every old clip was redone and you&#8217;ll see some new clips immediately:<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"350\" height=\"197\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/v7UP3hc4ep4?si=w6yWiHHrw4hOlcjq\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not enough to be called a Sprite Showcase, this was rushed all over again, but it&#8217;s REALLY close this time.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>While we&#8217;re talking about Namco, West Mansion: The Splatterhouse fan-site got an update this week!<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gaminghell.co.uk\/\">Gaming Hell<\/a> had its 17th anniversary on May 20th, and celebrated with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gaminghell.co.uk\/TheQuestOfKi.html\">The Quest of Ki<\/a>! It&#8217;s the site&#8217;s latest fun read that&#8217;s exhaustively researched, alternate versions of the game, and screenshots with fun hover text.
