Action Comics #1 was published on this date in 1938, so I finally made a few more Superman Battle Hover sprites. Today’s variations are Action Comics #1 Superman, Sunshine Superman and the Superman from the “Universe of Evil” episode of the Superfriends cartoon. Basically, anything to avoid making a sprite of the Sentry. They’re in the GFX Generators<\/a> and the Battle Hover gallery<\/a>.<\/p>\n

VGJunk<\/a> just turned five years old this week and celebrated with a review of Captain Commando<\/a>. Check it out if you haven’t already and follow the VG Junk Tumblr<\/a> for bonus fun.<\/p>\n

Artist, video game appreciator, action flick connoisseur and all-around cool cat Rusty Shackles<\/a> also celebrated the anniversary of being alive and I’ll use this opportunity to plug his website<\/a> and the Insert Quarter Bin<\/a> Tumblr filled with video game\/comic book mash-up that are actually funny and awesome. <\/p>\n

There’s a Flash Sale in the Playstation Store this weekend and you’ll find popular gems like Hotline Miami and Retro City Rampage there alongside two personal favorites of mine: Double Dragon Neon (by WayForward) and Anarchy Reigns (by Platinum Games).
